Immigration Legal Services and Quality Assurance Director

Carrie leads JSS’ efforts to provide immigration legal services and representation before USCIS to refugees, asylees, and other immigrants who already receive social services through JSS, especially those with little or no income. She works to create and implement agency policies to promote the best possible outcomes for client care, as well as reviewing our programs for quality and compliance with grants and funding streams.

Prior to coming to JSS in 2016, Carrie was the Director of Refugee Programming and Planning at HIAS Pennsylvania, and before that she was the Know Your Rights Manager for HIAS PA’s Immigrant Youth Advocacy Initiative. She has ten years of experience working with immigrants and refugees to build equal rights and provide access to needed legal and social services. Carrie received her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Chicago in 2010, and her Master of Divinity degree from McCormick Theological Seminary in 2011.
