Develop an on-going, one-to-one relationship that helps to provide a sense of community, security and belonging. You'll brighten someone's day and enjoy getting to know another person.
- An intelligent middle-aged woman with a disability, who also would like a telephone reassurance volunteer to call three times a week.
The Driver Connection provide rides to appointments and community events. You’ll only be called when we need you, and you only agree to drive when you’re able. Currently drivers are needed for someone who has multiple medical appointments.
ESL Tutoring for a young man from West Africa. He is very motivated, and speaks French. You do not have to speak French to tutor him
"OddJobbers:" A new and simple way to help seniors & people with physical disabilities!
OddJobbers is a kind of “handyman” service we are offering to seniors and people with physical disabilities. To be an OddJobber, you just have to want to be helpful - no special skills are required.
Currently we're looking for people who can change air filters,hang pictures, teach someone how to program a thermostat and remote control, and change some out-of-reach light bulbs.
