Join us for a special Shabbat! Guest speaker, Jon Pollack, will lead a teaching and discussion about The History of Jews in the Recycling Industry. Jon is a retired professor from Madison College and a Beth Israel Center member. He is researching and writing a fascinating book of Jews in the scrap metal industry.
We will also enjoy a standard Erev Shabbats service, led by Rabbi Renee Bauer, with assistance from additional JSS staff and volunteers. We will light candles, eat Challah, say Kiddush, and sing songs around the table. The service takes place in the Westmoreland Room behind the front desk of the main entrance.
