At Jewish Social Services, one of our biggest goals is to help seniors remain independent and engaged in the community. To that end, Jewish Social Services offers Jewish Holiday Programming to seniors in local assisted living facilities.
We typically have services for Rosh Hashanah, Hanukkah, Purim, and Pesach, as well as our regular Shabbat programming. Additionally, we deliver hundreds of gift bags for each holiday to help seniors stay connected. For information on current holiday events, please check our calendar.
Shabbat Gatherings for Seniors and their Families
Please join your neighbors, volunteers and Jewish Social Services staff for candle lighting, challah, wine, songs and discussion to usher in Shabbat, along with the opportunity to recite Kaddish. We look forward to spending this special time together with you! We host Shabbat on the first and third Friday of each month – find the schedule below, and check our calendar to view event details.
For more information about any of our Shabbat programs, contact Paul Borowsky at Jewish Social Services, 608-442-4081 or direct, 608-442-4083.
