Spiritual care rooted in Jewish tradition with the intent to comfort people who are ill, dying or bereaved no matter what their affiliation or Jewish background. We don’t meet with our clients to fix a problem but to accompany them in a challenging situation with an assumption that a caring connection can transform suffering through relationship and reflection.

Family Support and Senior Services


Jewish Social Services is here to support and empower families and individuals that are struggling in Dane County.  While we specialize in serving the Jewish and immigrant communities, we serve all people. Our services include helping with senior transitions, assistance in finding and applying for housing, help with navigating public services, engaging in general case management, and emergency financial assistance.

Volunteer Services


Volunteers play a crucial role in Jewish Social Services of Madison’s mission to empower families and individuals across generations and cultures to build community and self-sufficiency, with a strong commitment to the Jewish community and inspired by Jewish values. JSS seeks volunteers to assist with programs that decrease social isolation and support the needs of the diverse populations that we serve: from seniors, young adults and families, homeless, displaced, asylees and refugees.
