Jewish Social Services refugee resettlement staff will present at the 2022 Our City of Nations Conference (OCON)! We are excited to have Case Managers Stephanie Taylor, Benjamyn Deneen, Mohammad Din Hajizada, and Gilbertine Harerimana talk about the JSS model for supporting new refugee community members in Madison. Executive Director Kai Mishlove will also present on her Tables Across Borders initiative, which aims to build community and conversation through food. Please visit their website if you are interested in joining virtually. More about the event can be found below:

Together: Honoring Struggle, Celebrating Success, and Healing Forward

Our City of NationsWhile the pandemic created many challenges across our communities and multidisciplinary fields, it also offered opportunities to adapt, engage in new ways, and build on the strengths of refugee and immigrant communities and their partners.

Our next conference will be hybrid and offered in-person at the UW-Milwaukee Zilber School of Public Health or, virtually via Zoom events. Let us share how we have built and continue to build stronger networked, services, and communities and where we are headed as we walk together.
