Our Fall 2024 Russian Series will bring together a wide variety of cultural programming geared towards Russian-speaking children. These events take place in the Russian language.
In this lesson the kids will get acquainted with Russian folk instruments, listen to their sound and even learn to play on them. They will listen to the sounds of baía, Damra, balalaika and mandalinka, play on drums, spoons and other musical instruments, as well as participate in an improvised orchestra. At the end of the class, children will be able to sing folk songs from ancient times.

Please join us for a study session at Capitol Lakes Retirement Home! JSS Rabbi Renee Bauer will lead discussion and study on the topic of Yom Kippur. The title of the session is, “Why is Yom Kippur the Most Joyous Day of the Year?” Please join us!
