The June 17th event is a screening of the award-winning film, “This is Home,” followed by a panel discussion with Madison residents of refugee background and resettlement staff. “This is Home,” follows four Syrian refugee families as they are resettled in the US.

Many of us think about latkes, dreidels and children’s songs when we think about Hanukkah but there is much more to the holiday. Rabbi Renee Bauer will help us delve deeper into the historical and spiritual significance of Hanukkah.
